From receiving a client’s drawing to delivering the final product, B&B Precision Engineering works to ensure that what you receive is built with the highest level of quality, accuracy and durability. The craftsmanship, material specification and inspection processes directly influence the integrity of the final component, which is something that we never compromise on. Here’s how we uphold that promise at every stage:

Drawings

The first step is to review and interpret the client’s technical drawings. This allows our experienced engineers to identify and flag potential issues before production begins. Known as Design for Manufacture (DfM), this process may be used for projects and focuses on refining the design to ensure the most efficient use of materials and production costs.

Materials

Material choice has a direct impact on both performance and longevity. Cutting costs by sourcing lower-grade materials can result in premature part failure. We work exclusively with a trusted network of verified local suppliers to source certified materials that mitigate these risks. If required, we can provide full supply certificates of conformity.

Machining

Machines are the cornerstone of all production and are also where the greatest risk of error lies. Even with the latest CNC technology, quality issues can come from misuse and lack of operator expertise. At B&B, all of our machinists are highly skilled and have a strong foundation in both manual and CNC processes. This enables them to make real-time decisions, troubleshoot effectively and maintain the quality required for every part.

Inspection

The final step in our workflow is a thorough inspection. This stage ensures that every component meets the dimensional and material specifications. Our in-house quality department is equipped with a range of inspection tools and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) capabilities. We also have an on-site metallurgical lab for verifying the quality of our coatings.

To support our commitment to accuracy, we’ve recently introduced a CNC-controlled CMM into our inspection workflow. Unlike manual machines, our CNC CMM offers fully automated, repeatable measurements – ideal for batch production and complex components. This investment allows us to deliver consistently high-quality results with improved speed and reliability.
